Christmas Hampers

It’s that time of year again.  We are requesting your help to provide Christmas hampers for 22 families in our community.

Gifts for Families:

After the service, during coffee, you are invited to select a card from our Christmas tree in the gym. On it you will find details of a family for whom you may purchase gifts for as part of a family Christmas hamper.

You may wish to provide gifts for a Christmas hamper on your own, or join with another parish family and contribute together.

When you have selected a family, please let us know.

Hamper gifts should be wrapped and labeled; one gift for each child and parent. You will know the age and sex of the child to help with your gift selection.  The gifts need not be extravagant but should be new.  Possible gift items could include games, books, clothes or toys.

Food for Families:    (Note change in collection method)

This year we are assembling food for the hampers as a community, so you do not need to put together a box of food for your family. If you are able, please contribute to the general collection as described below.  Items will be collected then distributed amongst the families as part of each hamper.  We have organized the remaining four Sundays as follows:

Sunday November 20                       Canned Goods (Soup, Fish, Beans…)

Sunday November 27                       Dry Goods (Pasta, Noodles, Crackers…)

Sunday December 4              Condiments (Peanut Butter, Jam, Ketchup…)

Sunday December 11                        Goodies (Cookies, Candies, Chocolates…)

Please do not include:

Perishable items, such as fresh meat, fruit, vegetables, dairy products or alcohol.

More ways you may help:

®         Stong’s and IGA ‘Turkey Dollars’.  Please bring to the office or leave in offering plate

®         Cash donations.  These may be made to the Christmas Hamper fund through regular offering envelopes or to the Church Office during the week.

The office may be reached at 604-224-3238   Thank you
