Welcome to St. Philip’s Youth

I would like to welcome everyone to the youth group at St. Philips, a place for youth to be themselves and explore their faith. The youth are an important group within the St. Philip’s community bringing energy to everything they do. The youth are involved in several ways including our Church Committee, selling coffee, tea and donuts at the Rummage Sale as well as assisting in the celebration of the Eucharist each Sunday. Our youth group have their own room within church, which we have re-painted and received new furniture, giving a fresh new look.

We have two groups for our youth, our senior and junior youth groups.

SENIOR YOUTH GROUP: GRADES 8-12
Twice a month the senior youth group meets for special events such as movie nights, FLASH nights (Faith Learning and SHaring), game nights, sports nights, sleep overs at the church, camping trips and much much more. Our senior youth group also meets every Sunday during the 10am service.

JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP: GRADES 47
Our junior youth group will begin meeting in September at least once a month.

All of our youth programs are run by myself, Alison Woodley. I have recently moved from Ontario where I am a graduate of the University of Toronto in Physical Education and Health. I have worked at Camp Kintail, a Presbyterian Church camp on Lake Huron, for several summers as a Counsellor, Music and Drama Director, Assistant Director and Leader in Training Resource Counsellor. I am very excited to be at St. Philip’s.
