Given heightened concerns about the fast-spreading omicron Covid varian, and the Public Health Officer's new protocols for public gatherings, St Philip's has cancelled "A Christmas Carol" reading for Sunday Dec. 19.

Ticket-holders were looking forward to enjoying CBC Radio talent and local personalities reading this favourite Christmas tale, complete with sound effects, laughter, and the wonderful music of the season. It is a shame to have to cancel it, but this was a unanimous decision to pursue the safest path forward for parishioners and community friends.

However, our donation to the Canadian Red Cross BC Floods & Extreme Weather Appeal will proceed! Ticket holders have been reassured that the cost of their tickets goes 100% to the Red Cross. All unrefunded ticket sales will be donated by St Philip's on Monday Dec 20, and matched by both the Federal and Provincial governments. Our donation will be tripled!

Thank you for your support. Bless you.
