We are fully open for Sunday worship at 10 AM. We would love to see you back in church!

Following the move to Phase 3 of the Provincial Reopening plan, our worship has almost returned to pre-pandemic settings. It will take time for all of us to get comfortable once again and we need to be careful how we manage people’s expectations amid concern for the safety of all.  Most of the restrictions around worship have been lifted:

  • It is no longer necessary to pre-register or collect contact tracing information for those attending worship.
  • Congregational singing is permitted!
  • And we can have several choristers all singing at once!

The Bishop has asked that we adhere to the following:

  • It is strongly encouraged that masks be worn upon entry to the church and kept on for the entirety of the liturgy.
  • Anyone speaking or leading singing can remove their mask for this role.
  • People are encouraged still to distance from one another (unless from the same household) to help build confidence for those hesitant about returning to in-person worship.
  • Prior to receiving Communion, individuals should sanitize their hands.
  • You can remove your mask to receive Communion in front of the Priest. Communion is in one kind only (except for the priest)
  • At the time of exchanging the Peace of Christ, there must not be handshaking or hugs (except between members of the same household). Please nod or bow to one another.
  • At this time, do not pass Offertory Plate.  It will be in the Narthex when you arrive and when you leave.

We remember Min Rundle’s prayer: “As more and more people are getting vaccinated, it is our heartfelt prayer that we will ALL be reunited in church soon and able to embrace each other like we used to as the loving church family we have always been.” Amen!

We will still continue to livestream our worship for those who, for whatever reason, are not able to return in person. You may watch from home or from afar. Live at 10 AM or recorded for later viewing, the services can all be found on our Facebook page

Worship has been live streamed and recorded since February using two unobtrusive wall-mounted cameras.  The camera focuses on the worship leaders. During Communion and Sharing the Peace, the camera will not focus on parishioners. If you have any questions or concerns about being on camera, please ask to speak a Warden.

If you have any questions or concerns about returning to worship, please contact The Rev’d Philippa Segrave-Pride: philippa@stpdunbar.com or 778-838-3132
